Wedge nuts or V nuts are commonly used with metal decking systems or composite floor decking. During installation, they are placed into the channel to provide a secure fixing for threaded rods, or bolts.
Wedge nuts are inserted on the inside of the channel and are designed to move down as the threaded rod or bolts are tightened. Once in place, a wedge nut acts as a lock and channel support mechanism.
