Looking to make your own test leads, then RS PRO has the perfect addition in the 4 mm banana plug. This socket is the ideal solution for making test leads to your specification. Upon inspection, the connector offers high-grade PVC plastic insulation with a centre contact made from nickel-plated brass with a transfer termination method. It interconnects test lead cables with a 4 mm diameter and is suitable for any standard 4 mm insulated or non-insulated plug.
There are many types of banana plug connectors so its important to have a variety of cable leads of various lengths especially if you frequently use multi-meters, voltage meters, or oscilloscopes.
