IDEM HYGIELOCK Solenoid Interlock Switch

The HYGIELOCK is a guard locking safety interlock switch that fits to the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards. It provides a lock mechanism to keep the guard closed until the hazard has been removed. It is tongue operated with positively operated switching contacts and a strong tamper resistant key mechanism. It provides robust position interlock detection for moving guards.
This solenoid interlock switch can be used with safety timers to provide a delay before allowing the guard to open (for example machines that require a rundown). Depending upon the risk assessment for the application, it can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to IEC 60947-5-1 or used with any dual channel safety monitoring relay to provide up to Category 4 PLe ISO 13849-1 or SIL3 EN62061..
