The KPS-3227SP1C, from Kingbright, is an ambient light photo sensor. The KPS-3227SP1C has been designed to resemble the sensitivity of the human eye to visible light. It is sensitive to visible light and is therefore ideal for controlling display backlighting in portable devices such as mobile phones and notebooks. This enables the user to create designs which offer a power saving function.
